The Client

Trading Room is a highly respected trader in the Crypto Twitter space with close to 100 000 followers. His team introduced multiple tools in 2019 to help traders make informed decisions regarding trade setups.

My Role

After the MVP's success, I started to work with the team to design a cleaner interface and improve the user experience of the platform.

I was directly involved in user and market research, conceptualization, experience, and interface design.

Research

User interviews and netnographic research helped the team understand how people gather market insights, plan, execute and journal trades, and what platforms they use frequently.

Design

The original trend scanner had fundamental usability and scannability issues that slowed down traders in their workflow.

The improved symbols helped users find trending markets quicker.

We also had color blind people in mind who could identify the trend from the direction of the symbol.

The UI was designed with Carbon Design System for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
